Here are the rosters for today’s preseason opener. We were given the Capitals’ lineup in “lines” format two days ago; Carolina’s is in roster format, listed numerically. Here’s what we’ve got:

Vogs, Its a good thing Erskine is in the lineup. Brookbank will be looking to make a name for himself with Carolina in hopes he won’t have to toil in Albany.

Thanks for the roster update. Who is your player(s) to watch today? The first line? #52? Thanks again.

  3. dumpnchase Says:

    Poise,
The Canes are set on D, so Brookbank’s ticket has all but been punched to Albany. They are pretty thin back there, but they’d make a deal for someone if one of their D went down for any length of time.

    Zero,
I’d go with Backstrom. He held his own in a chippy rookie scrimmage vs. Philly the other day, but the staff is anxious to see how he handles NHL-level competition.

Good job today — maybe you ought to be the Caps color man, suppose?

    Go Caps Go !!!

Thanks a lot, Doug and Wade. It’s a lot of fun, but I have no delusions. I’m keeping the day job. 😉
