Camp Will be Crowded

When the Caps decided to make their recent rookie camp a “tryout” for the team’s main camp, I figured they’d keep somewhere around 12-15 players from the list of 27 who participated in the camp. Apparently, a lot of players impressed because only four players — all of them forwards — were sent back to their junior teams before the start of tomorrow’s beginning of training camp.

Forwards Maxime Lacroix, Brett Leffler, Luke Lynes and Justin Taylor were assigned to their junior teams in the CHL. By my count, that leaves 61 players in camp. The next round of cuts will likely come on Wednesday, the day before Hershey opens its 2007 training camp.
