Changing it Up

A few changes are afoot for tonight’s game between the Caps and Canes at Verizon Center. Kris Beech, Brooks Laich and Bryan Muir will all be back in the lineup tonight. Caps bench boss Glen Hanlon doesn’t want any of his players sitting idly for too long, and wants everyone to be involved and feel involved.

Richard Zednik will also be back in the lineup this evening after missing the last six games with an upper body injury. Dainius Zubrus will play, and Chris Clark is doubtful. For more on tonight’s game, the lineup and other Capitals news, tune in to our live “Pre-Cap” podcast at 3 pm this afternoon. If you can’t tune in then, you can download the show for later listening.

Talk to you then.

Wow, who taught the Redskins how to skate?

And if that wasn’t the Skins, then who were those impostors in the black sweaters, where are they hiding the Caps, and what exactly are their ransom demands?

That was one of the most pathetic games I’ve seen the Caps play at home all season. They didn’t want this one. If the Canes had put Ward between the pipes, he’d have padded his stats and still gotten a good night off at the same time.

I’m all for getting everyone involved, but I think tonight may have been a change too many.

Oh, well. At the Bruins tomorrow night. We’ll see if a trip to Beantown is enough to make the Caps give a, shall we say, rip.

Side note: Ovie has 6 PIM through 19 games. Think he might be kissing Lady Byng before it’s all said and done?

  2. PlayoffSeeker Says:

Keep Brashear in the cage till you need him unleashed. Having him playing with some scorers isn’t doing much as we’ve just seen. He seems to always take a penalty and the opposition scores what feels like 95% of the time. Don’t take pointless PENALTIES!!
